Advanced Model 2020 Multi-Sample Osmometer
Part Number: 2020Product Details
Overview
Proven Results with Simple, Flexible Operation
The Advanced® 2020 Multi-Sample Osmometer provides extremely accurate osmolality measurements in clinical, industrial, and research settings. These results are obtained by using the industry-preferred freezing-point method, which determines total concentration. Only the model 2020 Osmometer offers on-board data management, automated sample handling, and flexible reporting options for seamless instrument operation.
Other features such as statistical analysis, multi-language capability, and automated calibration make the Advanced 2020 the model of choice in laboratories around the world.
Features
• Maximise Productivity
The Advanced 2020 Multi-Sample Osmometer tests up to 20 samples without supervision, allowing your personnel to concentrate on other responsibilities.
• Optimal Sample Size
Requiring only a 20 µL sample, the Advanced 2020 offers the smallest sample volume of any freezing-point osmometer currently available.
• Automatic Calibration
No fine-tuning or user adjustments are needed during calibration. The instrument's microprocessor automatically makes calibration adjustments at the push of a button.
• Stat Capability
A test sequence can be interrupted to run a stat test without affecting the workflow.
• Flexible Reporting Options
The 2020 offers a full range of data handling capabilities with an on-board printer and connects easily to an external printer, computer, and barcode scanner. Instrument memory allows electronic storage and retrieval of up to 200 test results.
• Multi-Language Capability
Optional languages include: English, Danish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish.
• Worldwide Support
Advanced Instruments Hot-Line® Service and worldwide distributor network provide comprehensive customer service and technical support 24/7.
Benefits
• Barcode capability
• Electronic storage & retrieval of 200 test results
• On-board statistical analysis (mean, standard deviation and coefficient of variation functions)
• Multi-language capability
• Data export capability
• Flash EPROM upgrades via serial port
• New, onboard printer
Applications
Osmometry, a measurement of osmolality by the freezing point method, is an important diagnostic method used in a broad range of clinical applications not currently available by any other means.
For example, osmometry is critical in improving patient care by its direct measurement of body fluid osmolality, thus providing clinical information not available by any other means. Clinicians can make more timely diagnoses and institute more appropriate patient care which can translate to decreased health care costs of the institution.
Freezing-point depression osmometry is capable of measuring all osmotically active solutes within the range of 0-4000 mOsmol/kg H2O, including volatile substances, making it the most sensitive and accurate technology available.
Practical Applications for:
• Emergency Medicine
• Internal Medicine/ Endocrinology
• Urology/Renal Care
• Obstetrics/Gynecology
• Pharmacy/Quality Control
