The 21000 Series Ring and Ball Test Unit provides simple equipment to determine the softening point of a sample using the ring and ball method.
Additional Information
A steel ball is placed upon a disc of sample contained within a metal ring. The assembly is heated in a bath, and the temperature taken when the sample softens enough to allow the ball to fall through the ring.
Comprises a two-ring holder, rectangular base plate, thermometer support plate and two support pillars.
